Turtle Thruway

We were not alone on the trail this morning.  At least ten snapping turtles were out laying eggs. Hope a few survive the foxes and hatch in the fall.

First Trilliums in the woods

The underbrush in the woods is peeking through. Here is one of the first trilliums at Gould Lake Conservation Area near Sydenham, Ontario this week.
